Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar
(born October 5, 1969) is a Hindustani classical music vocalist of the Mewati Gharana. Sanjeev Abhyankar was born in Pune, India to Dr. Shobha Abyankar.
He won The National Film Award
for Best Male Playback Singer in 1999, for his song, Suno Re Bhaila" in Hindi film Godmother.
He started learning Hindustani Classical Music, at tender age of eight, groomed by his mother, and her guru Pandit Pimpalkhare and later from Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj.
Though his aim had been to pursue a career in music since childhood, he has acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce.
Sanjeev Abhyankar rendered his first stage performance in Mumbai, at the age of 13 in 1983. He has several albums. He has also given playback for films such as Maachis, Nidaan, Sanshodhan , Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar and Banaras.

from All India Radio in 1990, The F. I. E. Foundation National Award
1996, The coveted National Award
1998 as the best male playback singer, for the Hindi film Godmother, the title 'Sur Ratna',
Rotary Vocational Excellence Award 2002 and Pandit Jasraj Gaurav Puraskar.
From the knowledge of his guru, Pandit Jasraj, and with his own talent and skill, Sanjeev has established himself as a major exponent in the world of Indian Classical Music. His style has a very meditative and soothing approach which is complimented by his vocal range and depth.
His impassioned renditions of Marathi Abhangs and Bhajans reflect his music's easy grace and versatility. By adding his own classical compositions (Bandishes), he has contributed to the already existing vast repertoire of Mewati rachanas.
